A tune-up is a chance to find wear before the season puts the system under load. It reduces risk. It cannot guarantee that a system will not break down.

What we check
- Filter, coils and condensate drain: inspected, with their condition reported to you
- Electrical components tested while the system runs
- Refrigerant pressures and the temperature difference across the system
- On furnaces: burners, igniter and flame sensor
- A plain summary of what we found, what needs attention and what can wait
A tune-up is an inspection and adjustment visit. If we find something that needs a repair, a part or a deeper cleaning, we tell you what it involves and what it costs, and you decide whether to go ahead.
What depends on the evaluation
We cannot know the condition of a system until we see it. Some findings are minor and some are not, and we tell you which is which.

Questions people ask
How often should a system be serviced?
Manufacturers generally recommend a check once a year for each function: cooling and heating. Heat pumps do both jobs, so they work year-round.
Will a tune-up lower my energy bill?
A clean system in good adjustment does not have to work as hard. How much difference that makes depends on the condition it was in, so we do not promise a number.
Does a tune-up include repairs?
No. It covers inspection, testing and adjustment. Repairs are quoted separately and need your approval.
